Ambition 6 - Community Collaboration

Linking with community partners is a key element of an outstanding offer and can bring specialist input into the school, provide extension activity/exit routes for pupils as well as position the school positively within the local community.

School Sport Partnerships

Developing your PE and School Sport offer together with a local cluster of primary schools around a secondary school can have many advantages. Where schools and their leaders are keen to learn together, build capacity and develop expertise, the PE and Sport Premium will create opportunities to pool resources and spread costs for;

In many cases the area school sport partnerships will provide an extended offer of specialist support to both secondary and primary schools in their defined geographical location.

 

Community Club Partnerships

Schools with well developed community collaboration will have established links with a range of community sports clubs who may provide opportunities for pupils outside of school, make use of school facilities and provide coaches/leadersfor both curricular and extra-curricular activity.

 

Get Active Cornwall

Get Active Cornwall is a sport and physical activity search tool administered by Cornwall Sports Partnership that lists community clubs who currently deliver young people sessions in your area.

 

Club Matters

Clubmark is a club accreditation scheme to help sports clubs to develop to their young people offer and to give schools and parents the knowledge and confidence that their children are attending a good quality and safe club.

 

Sportivate

Sportivate is a funded 6 week programme of out of school introductory activity aimed at young people aged 11 to 25 years currently doing little or no physical activity.

 

Club Links Logo

The Satellite Club programme is funded by Sport England and aims to smooth the transition between after school activity and established community hub clubs. Clubs are normally delivered on school sites utilising the skills and experience within community clubs.
