Holistic PE and School Sport programmes will recognise the natural fit between physical activity and wider aspects of a healthy lifestyle. They will seek to develop pupil's appreciation of the importance of leading a healthy life and provide them and their parents with the knowledge to make positive decisions. As well as education, well developed schools will; 1) take practical steps to shape their physical environment, 2) set aside dedicated time for physical activity, 3) implement travel to school plans, 4) encourage healthy eating, 5) support staff to lead healthy lives.
