At the early stages of developing physical literacy pupils are exploring the FUNdamentals of movement; Agility, Balance and Coordination whilst establishing the basic movement patterns of running, jumping, and throwing. In this context generic activities, Swimming and specifically adapted forms of Athletics, Gymnastics and Dance can provide learners with appropriate opportunities to develop these competencies as well as expressive/creative abilities.
