Making CASC's Clearer

Club Leaders

This week the government announced several substantial changes to the Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) scheme.  The new rules aim to make the scheme simpler and clearer to understand and encourage more sports clubs to apply and take advantage of the generous tax breaks it offers.

To date, around 6,000 clubs have benefited from the scheme saving over £100m in business rates exemption, and more than £12m in Gift Aid relief, but it is hoped the changes will enable even more clubs to get involved.
