The Big Run 2015! A Cornish Race - Raising Money for Charities
The Little Run (5.5 miles), The Serious Run (11 miles) and The Super Serious Run (17.3 miles)
Sunday 1st March 2015 on the Camel Trail
These beautiful scenic runs will take you down the famous and beautiful 'Camel Trail' all the way from Wenfordbridge to Padstow, where you will end up in Padstow harbour.
This 17.3 mile race is a rare opportunity to join with others and race down the Camel Trail, take part in a unique race and raise money for 'The National Lobster Hatchery', a brilliant charity dedicated to marine conversation, research and education.
If you do not think that 17.3 miles is your thing, then you can choose from our three other races, including The Little Run. We like to see everyone enjoying the day, not just the super fast and furious!
The Big Run is a new addition to the already established 'The Big Swim' which takes place in Port Isaac. 'The Big Run' is an off road flat trail run, away from traffic, that winds through stunning countryside and woodland. The distance is challenging to those experienced and wanting to take on a meaty run!
Running is a great way to exercise and 'The Big Run Cornwall' enables you to run together as with friends, family, or set yourself a challenge alone. It's a perfect event to add to your calendar.
Its also the perfect long run to train for the Marathon!!!!
Sharp's Brewery remains our fabulous sponsor and will be donating a FREE pint of delicious Sharp's beer at the end of your run!
Coaches will run (at a small cost to each competitor) back to Wadebridge, The Borough Arms and Wenfordbridge, after the races.
"The Camel Trail is a disused and resurfaced railway line in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, that provides a recreational route for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The trail is flat (and suitable for disabled access); running from Padstow to Wenford Bridge via Wadebridge and Bodmin and it is 17.3 miles (27.8 km) long." WIKI"
