What's your role at the CSP?
I am the Sports Inclusion Officer and part of my role includes:

• Working with local and National partners including NGBs to access funding and to sustain activity;
• Delivering training to volunteers, coaches and students on how to provide inclusive activity.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I was born in Ashby de la Zouch. I spent part of my working life in Taunton, Somerset before moving to Cornwall in 1995. My early working years included lifeguarding, gym instructor and swimming teacher. I also worked as a residential carer for young people with disabilities and for MENCAP as a recreation coordinator. I started with the CSP as a community coach and swimming development officer before being successful in applying for my current role.
What do you like to do outside of work?
My family is super important to me. I have a son who is very active and enjoys most things that include danger. We have a dog called Yala and enjoy exploring Cornwall. Surfing, the water and beach life is a big love of mine which I hope to share with my son Noah. I play water polo for Newquay and have also represented Cornwall on two occasions.
